"In the divisive times we live in, I believe it to be all the more important to knock down barriers between cultures & races, stressing what we share in common," says Mr. Nero. "The heart of mankind is the same the world over. Youth are definitely marching to a Hip-Hop anthem. What I am doing through my clothing is encouraging them to develop their own individuality through blending or "fuzing" cultural indicators as expressed through specific textiles & clothing items."
V.I.P. Promotions is proud to showcase Tommy Nero's "Globally Fuzed ClubWear-4-Men" at Crobar, 530 West 29th Street, New York NY, on Friday evening, March 17, 2006, from 10PM-12AM. The 90 minute presentation in Crobar's intimate Reed Room will show how to seamlessly blend pieces of Hip-Hop with distinctively original clothing from Morocco, Korea, Thailand, Indonesia & India. "The magic is in the mixture, or fusion, of the varied elements," says Nero, a pioneer of the Principle of Fashion Fusion. "I guess the fact that I strongly resemble Pop icon Elton John in appearance sent me down the path of freedom of expression through this fashion fusion & helped me in the on going process of refining my individual sense of style. Nowadays I tend to "fuze" daytime as well as nights, although I do try to tone it own somewhat for days."
Any press or celebrities wishing to attend the "Globally Fuzed" event are encouraged to contact our company as soon as possibe. General admission invitations are still available but on a first come first served basis. We advise that all guests attending be 21 years of age & over only, please. A valid photo ID is required to enter the show as per Crobar's door policy." Crobar is located at 530 West 28th Street, between 10th & 11th Avenues in the Chelsea section of Manhattan. Complimentary admission for all attendees is only guaranteed until 12AM. Thereafter, a $20 entrance fee is charged. Guests are welcome to stay at Crobar after the show to enjoy the rest of their evening.
