Dec 22, 2003, 3Impact.com announces the release of 3Impact, the engine used to power dynamics and visual effects in its PC games.
3Impact game engine is royalty free, supports accurate collision detection and response, constraints, springs, volumetric shadows, particle systems, true mirror surfaces, 3d .ogg sounds and all other features you need to make stunning games for Windows 98/Me/2000/XP.
It was designed to be easy to use, targeting 3d artists and programming beginners.
The built-in collision detection and response system allows you to load your own 3d models into a space that obeys physics laws. All you have to do is apply forces, torques, springs, constraints and let the engine deal with the hard part.
The game logic is implemented by coding, in C++ or Delphi, a .dll that the engine will run.
3Impact engine costs $99(US) for a single-user license.
