The world wide castings for Body Doubles have given us finalists ranging in age from 18 to 28, from Vancouver, Sydney, Shanghai, London, Rio, NYC and LA. The contestants are: Kristina and Vanessa Milanja from Austria, Desiree and Chelsey Lindsay from Canada, Taiana and Tamiris Schetini from Brazil, Sara and Bruna Gontijo from Brazil, Tonya and Rea French from London, Diane and Jodi Fanelli from NYC, Ruth and Ryan Quinn from Las Vegas, Anissa and Olissa Brooks from South Africa, Nicole and Brianna Garcia from Los Angeles, Ashley and Sarah Ummel from Newport Beach, CA, Stacey and Kelly Franklin from London, Serena and Melanie Chung from Scotland, Ambra and Giada Pusterla from Italy, Desiree and Erin Green from Los Angeles, Alice and Susie Robinson from London. The Body Doubles final competition combines the exciting live musical performances of the VMA’s, the sexy lingerie of the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show and the opportunity to win a modeling contract like America’s Next Top Model.
The weekend will be hosted by VH1’s Rachel Perry, whose impressive career began as a VJ for the popular Canadian music channel, Much Music. Her humor and charisma quickly made her an audience favorite, and she continued to host several shows at the station for the next three years. Her talent eventually landed her in New York where she worked on a live music show for the Metro Channel. VH1 couldn’t help but notice her “it” quality, which led them to hire her as the host of their morning music show, Jumpstart, and the reality show, Strip Search. Rachel is currently VJing at VH1 and is also working as Adam Carolla’s sidekick on the syndicated “Adam Corolla Morning Radio Show” in LA.
The competition will be judged by a panel of celebrities including Sabrina and Kelly from 8th and Ocean, Extra! correspondent John Kelley, supermodel Kylie Bax along with several special guest judges. Saturday night’s competition will take place in the Islander Ballroom at Mandalay Bay Resort will feature a performance by the All American Rejects.
The twins will be judged in several categories including swimsuit/lingerie, contrast and “How well do you know your twin?” The final decision is based on 30% competition, 30% reality TV, 30% beauty and 10% live audience vote. For the first time ever Body Doubles introduces audience participation and reality TV into the final judging categories. Body Doubles cameras have captured the sights and sounds of the contestants as they followed the twins though their journey to Vegas, live in front of millions the twins reality becomes part of their competition.
