Emerging jazz vocalist Tokeli will debut her CD "Where Do You Start?" co-produced by Peter Sprague on Sunday, June 4, 2006 at an outdoor concert series presented by Coronado Concert in the Park. Tokeli and her 7-piece ensemble will play standards and originals at this large-format, free outdoor venue on June 4th at 6pm in Coronado, CA, at Spreckel's Park (Orange Avenue between 6th and 7th). Special guests Peter Sprague and Gilbert Castellanos, who also played on the album, will join the group: Ed Kornhauser on piano, Mack Leighton on bass, Paul Ingram on drums, Tom Aros on percussion and Tokeli on vocals. In preparation for the CD release, Tokeli will be featured in a radio interview on Monday, May 29, 2006 at 7pm PST on San Diego's KSDS Jazz 88.3 (FM), which is also available live streaming at www.jazz88online.org . The interview is part of Jazz 88's "Jazz Voices" Monday night series hosted by Jeff Dalrymple. Selections from the album will also be played for the broadcast.

Sunday, July 9, 2006 at 7pm (PST) Tokeli and the same ensemble will do a second CD release concert at Dizzy's (Where the Music Matters Most), located at 344 7th Ave. (between J & K) in San Diego, CA. Tickets are $15/$10 students. Visit www.dizzyssandiego.com for more information.
