The API allows end-users, companies, and research institutions to develop proprietary code for handheld instruments on the Palm Operating Systems and Handspring(TM) Visor(TM) handheld computer. Pacific Microinstruments also announced the immediate availability of the Extra*Digit Instrument Developer Kit, version 1.0 (IDK1.0) that includes an Extra*Digit MNP-12, a Longboard(TM) Flash-EXB-1 extender module, the API1.0, and sample code."The Extra*Digit API1.0 is a shared library providing a public application programmer interface for data acquisition and handheld instrument applications based on the MNP-12 Springboard module," said Michael Klinglesmith, CTO, Pacific Microinstruments.
