The UIe enables the display of measurement and control systems on Palm OS handheld computers. The graphical user interface (GUI) functions in the library allow for rapid development of software-based human-machine interfaces and virtual instruments on handheld computers, PDAs, and web-enabled Palm OS cell phones. Typical applications include the development of the user interface for a modular handheld instrument and the development of wireless interfaces to industrial systems."The Extra*Digit User Interface Extension is a shared library providing a public application programmer interface for the display and manipulation of measurement and control systems," said Michael Klinglesmith, CTO, Pacific Microinstruments.
