Each track has been rigorously identified by the company’s patented fingerprint, and musically characterized through a patent-pending algorithmic analysis.

The 20 millionth song analyzed by MusicIP was the Allegro Moderato movement from Handel’s Wassermusik Suite Nr. 1, submitted from Mainz, Germany—underlining the power of the company’s globally-distributed language-independent technology. MusicIP invested years of research and development to accomplish the very difficult task of identifying, characterizing, and relating digital tracks by their musical attributes. In March of 2006, the database of analyzed tracks was just over 16,000,000. Just three months later, that number has increased by over 4,000,000 tracks to today’s total of 20,129,589. That’s an average of more than 42,000 tracks PER DAY.
