Pastor Jamal-Harrison Bryant, the Senior Pastor of the 7,000 member Empowerment Temple in Baltimore, Maryland, Bishop Larry Trotter, Presiding Prelate of the United Covenant Churches of Christ and the Senior Pastor of the Sweet Holy Spirit Church in Chicago, Illinois and Full Gospel Baptists’ Bishop Neil Ellis, the Senior Pastor of the Mount Tabor Full Gospel Baptist Church in Nassau, Bahamas are among several powerful speakers coming to the Washington, D.C. area July 16th through 21st for the 49th Bible Way Holy Convocation.
The conference, open to everyone, will be held in Woodbridge, Virginia, which is about 20 minutes outside of Washington, D.C. and is hosted by Pastor Lyle Dukes, Co-Pastor Deborah Dukes and the Harvest Life Changers Church and also the Virginia Diocese of Bible Way. The services will be held in two locations, the Hylton Memorial Chapel and the Harvest Life Changers Church.
Apostle Lawrence Campbell, Sr., the Chief Apostle and Presiding Bishop, who will be giving the keynote address of the convention, will be concluding his tenure as the Bible Way’s Presiding Bishop. Apostle Cornelius Franklin Showell of Baltimore, Maryland will be consecrate as the new Presiding Bishop and Bishop Floyd Nelson of Washington, DC and Bishop Caleb McIntosh of London, England will become the First and Second Vice Presiding Bishops, respectively.
Special guest artists include the gospel sensation Jonathan Nelson (of Jonathan Nelson and Purpose) and various choirs and music guest. With the theme "The Year of the Overflow," the convocation will host seminars and workshops covering various areas of Christian Education and ministry.
