Atlassian founders Mike Cannon-Brookes and Scott Farquhar have received top honours at the Eastern Region Entrepreneur Of The Year awards at a ceremony in Sydney. The Entrepreneur Of The Year program, founded and produced by Ernst & Young and held in 40 different countries, announced the second round of Australian regional winners for 2006 at the event, and named Atlassian founders Mike Cannon-Brookes and Scott Farquhar joint Eastern Region Young Entrepreneur Of The Year winners: www.ey.com/au/entrepreneur_of_the_year.
Bill Delves, Ernst & Young National Director of the Entrepreneur Of The Year program said: "It's been another terrific year for the Entrepreneur Of The Year program. Each at just 26, Mike Cannon-Brookes and Scott Farquhar have created an international technology house that touches hundreds of thousands of people globally. Mike Cannon-Brookes and Scott Farquhar will now progress to the national awards in Sydney on 30th November where the Australian Entrepreneur Of The Year will be announced.
