Columnist George Sipple compiled the list which appeared in the Sunday, July 23rd edition of the Free Press. The 2006 Annual Guide was the only fantasy football magazine to receive a four-star rating, and it was stated that "nothing compares" with Fanball’s magazine. The Free Press also added, "From its top 100 rankings to its cheat sheets to its profiles, Fanball delivers a great read."
The 2006 Annual Guide features more than 210 player profiles, seven cheat sheets, two mock drafts, two mock auctions and several fantasy football strategy articles – all put together by the world’s largest and most knowledgeable staff of fantasy sports writers.
Of the accolade, Fantasy Football Weekly’s Founding Publisher, Paul Charchian, said, "The recognition is gratifying because I know how much effort went into the Annual Issue. In mid-August, Fanball will also publish the Fantasy Football Weekly 2006 Draft Guide, its third and final magazine of the year.
