The York Theatre Company (James Morgan, Producing Artistic Director), will present Chris & Adelmo on stage at The York Theatre (St. Peters 619 Lexington Avenue, entrance on 54th St.) for four performances only: Thursday August 24th through Saturday, August 26th at 8 p.m. and Sunday, August 27th at 7 p.m.

Chris & Adelmo was conceived and directed by Mike Wills, with musical direction by Bruce Stasyna and William Riley will serve as the vocal coach.

MIKE WILLS (Director). Over the years, Mike has worked with several cutting-edge cottage industries such as Blue Man Group and Penn & Teller. His association with Penn & Teller includes being part of many of their best know stage and television appearances, such as the Broadway show Penn & Teller’s Refrigerator Tour, Saturday Night Live, and several infamous appearances on Late Night with David Letterman. Premiere productions in New York include developing and directing the Off-Broadway production of The Last Session starring Bob Stillman (Tony Award nominee - Dirty Blonde), Tarantulas Dancing starring James Gandolfini (The Sopranos), G-Force starring Liev Schreiber (Tony Award winner - Glengarry Glen Ross) The Honest Liar starring acclaimed master magician Jamy Ian Swiss, Recreation by Penn Jillette, Hunting Humans by Richard Thompson, and Fixing Frank by Ken Hanes. Los Angeles: Passing Through starring Drake Hogestyn (Days of Our Lives) and The Renaissance Ball with Richard Chamberlain. London: Adding It Up. Edinburgh: G-Force (Best Play), Hunting Humans (Best Actor), and MEN: The Musical. Regional: Sondheim’s Putting It Together Alan Menken’s A Christmas Carol, Cole Porter’s Fifty Million Frenchmen, Gershwin’s Lady Be Good, and Jerome Kern’s Very Good Eddie. His film Grinch, won honors at FILMEX, the International Film Festival in Los Angeles. He is a member of The Actor's Studio and The Society of Stage Directors and Choreographers.

CHRISTOPHER CAIN. Described as a Wagnerian tenor, Chris has performed the roles of Siegmund in Die Walkeure and Siegfried in Goetterdaemmerung, yet his repertoire also includes the works of Verdi, Puccini, and Mascagni to name a few. Chris began his professional singing career performing classic roles in operettas such as Prince Karl Franz in The Student Prince, Schani in The Great Waltz, and Frederick in The Pirates of Penzance. With the ability to switch vocally from grand opera to pop, Chris has been highly acclaimed for his performances in musicals such as Jesus in Jesus Christ Superstar, Archibald in The Secret Garden, Phantom in Phantom of the Opera, Sky Masterson in Guys and Dolls, Sir Francis in Where's Charlie?, Freddy in My Fair Lady, and Prince Charming in Cinderella. Chris is an accomplished pianist. His formal education is from Manhattan School of Music where he attended on a vocal performance scholarship, with additional studies in Vienna, Austria.

ADELMO GUIDARELLI. Described as "One of the up and coming baritones of the decade" by Jerome Hines, Adelmo has won numerous awards including the Altamura/Caruso International Voice Competition and the Luciano Pavarotti International Voice Competition. His performance in The Barber of Seville, under the direction of Licia Albanese and Mario Bertolino, was described as, "One of the most convincing and active Figaros ever. Sung with delicious dash and extroverted impulse, combined with incredible vocal beauty." He has performed Valentine in Faust under Maestro Julius Rudel, and his Marcello in La Boheme was compared to that of the great baritones of The Golden Age. His Silvio in I Pagliacci, under Maestro Anton Guadagno, "…possesses a decadent passion few singers have the capacity of tapping into. An artist of great depth and versatility, Adelmo Guidarelli is sure to be one of the next great singers in the world." Adelmo has worked with such operatic legends as Licia Albanese, Luciano Pavarotti, Gulietta Simionato, Sherrill Milnes, and Robert Merrill. His successes in Europe include performing with Opera Evreux of France, The Bach to Bartok Festival and The Ravello Festival in Italy as well as various leading baritone roles in Italy, Spain, France, Portugal, Germany and Ireland. He is a graduate of Metropolitan Opera basso Jerome Hines career development program, Opera Music Theater International, and has received career grants from The Schuyler Foundation for Career Bridges, The Amadeus Fund, The Bloomfield chapter of UNICO, The New Jersey Alliance for Performing Artists, The Caruso International Voice Competition, and Richard and Donna Esteves.
