Press Release:

The five colorful canine characters of The Raggs Kids Club Band have added a stop at ‘A Kid’s World’ Festival,’ a popular 1-day festival in Jackson, MS, sponsored by Clear Channel to their summer tour schedule. The band will perform their rockin’ “Unleashed” 30-minute show three times Saturday, August 19, 2006 on the Festival’s Main Stage. Shows times are 11:00 a.m., 2:00 and 4:00 p.m.

In the “Unleashed” live show the band performs both original and cover tunes from the award-winning CD of the same name. Songs include the band’s hits such as “Yo Yo Hey,” “Diddy Do Wah Day,” the band’s TV Theme Song, and “Pawsuuup” plus favorites such as “Who Let the Dogs Out.”

The Raggs Kids Club Band has played over 1,750 live concerts in the US and abroad, according to Jason Priest, the band’s tour manager. This year, the band made a third appearance at The White House in addition to European and Asian tours with Armed Forces Entertainment for US military families abroad. Other US appearances on their 2007 Tour Schedule include state fairs and festivals.

Raggs has grown a loyal fan base in the US through touring and TV specials. However, half way around the world a new crop of fans is emerging. Raggs LLC and Southern Star International in Sydney, Australia, joined forces last year to produce an original TV series titled “Raggs.” The show debuted on Seven Network in Australia, one of the leading broadcasters in the country, on January 2, 2006. Since then, the show has scored top ratings, averaging approximately 50% market share for the past 13 weeks. Raggs expects to announce additional broadcast commitments in the coming months.

The “Raggs” TV show stars the live band and their pet cat, Dumpster, in a lifestyle program about living a happy life through music, discovery and humor. The half hour show also features the band in concerts, music videos and mini-animated cartoons. The show meets Australian broadcast criteria for educational programming and is written for 4-6 year olds.

“We are committed to producing the highest quality children’s programming,” Toni Steedman, Raggs’ founder and president, said, “and that includes some of the best music in the industry. The Raggs concept is all about the music and we have been road testing the songs through our live concert shows—much to the delight of children and their parents!”

The Raggs Kids Club Band song list now includes over 120 titles, most of which are original compositions. In 2005, their original song, “Bow Wow Boogie,” was a finalist in the International Songwriting Competition. In addition, the band has won numerous industry awards including The National Parenting Center’s Seal of Approval, iParenting Media Awards, The Creative Child Award, and was nominated for two regional Emmy Awards for the “Pawsuuup” TV special in 2005.
