ECNext was recognized by Tech Columbus as Central Ohio’s Outstanding Technology Team Under 50 People during the TopCAT award ceremonies Thursday evening.
The annual event recognizes technology leaders from central Ohio in 12 categories. Other winners included organizations and individuals focused on nanotechnology, chemistry and medical research.

ECNext, which was also recently recognized as one of the fastest growing companies in Central Ohio by Business First’s Fast Fifty list, works with some of the largest and most respected publishers in the world to make millions of pieces of premium business, research and academic content available online.
"We help publishers create new revenue streams by selling content online , and offering advertising and sponsorships opportunities around premium business content," Springer explained. "At the same time, it delights end users who use the open web to find business research , news, company information and other content, through popular search engines like Google, Yahoo! and MSN Live."
Springer explained that the company manages more than one hundred million pieces of e-content, with a staff of less than 50 people.

TopCAT candidates must be nominated by an outside party and complete an application for the award. Each application is reviewed by the TopCAT panel and finalists are invited to the awards ceremony. ECNext was a finalist in three TopCAT categories.
