Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles (www.habitatla.org) works in partnership with hardworking families, like the Gonzales?, who would not otherwise qualify for homeownership and currently live in substandard living conditions. The home was donated to Habitat for Humanity by the Los Angeles Housing Department and funded by the Trust Company of the West (TCW), a first-time supporter of Habitat for Humanity, who donated $100,000 to fully sponsor the home and whose employees also volunteered their time to build alongside the Gonzales family.
