HansaWorld is among four finalists in the Communications & Mobility category at the first pan-European awards event for IT and Telecoms channels - the European IT Excellence Awards 2008.
"We chose to apply in the mobility category, given the unique nature of our software that enables real-time or batch access to all elements of the software from PDAs or mobile phones. Interestingly, IT Europa chose to focus the European IT Excellence Awards on actual implementations and their benefits, rather than software features," said Stephen Jay, International Sales Director for HansaWorld.
"In the mobility arena perhaps more than in any other there is a significant divide between what companies are promising and what is actually viable to deliver. We have other implementations coming through now that are incomplete, and so could not be used for the Awards this year, that stress more advanced areas such as real-time barcoding and real-time data entry and reporting," Jay added.
The event attracted entries from more than 30 countries. Winners will be announced in Frankfurt on 7th February 2008.
