The Eating Disorder Foundation of Orange County will benefit from a fundraiser sponsored by Pura Vida Day Spa on Thursday, Oct. 27, 2005. The fundraising event, an “Evening of Pampering” will be hosted by Pura Vida Day Spa in San Juan Capistrano and will invite women and daughters to participate in this very special evening of relaxation and self care. Services offered this night only include: Free manicures, free makeovers, $1 a min. massages, $25 facials, complimentary hors d’oeuvres and wine, free goodie bags, raffle prizes, and much more. Tickets are $20 prepaid, or bring your daughter and pay just $30.

The Eating Disorder Foundation of Orange County is a non-profit organization founded for the purpose of providing prevention efforts, early detection, and education to the local community about the realities of eating disorders in the Orange County area. Funds raised from this event will help cover the costs associated with providing free presentations to local schools, parent groups, athletic organizations, and others interested in learning more about preventing and detecting eating disorders. Funds will also go towards implementing a “Healthy Body Image” curriculum into our local schools. The Eating Disorder Foundation of Orange County hopes that in the future they will be able to provide funds for those who cannot afford treatment.
