Aeron Rane (California) and Michael Hatcher (Ohio) both 23 year old business partners of the national online clothing business, www.raneclothing.com will be opening their first retail store and releasing the women’s clothing and denim lines and skateboards. “It just seem to fall into our laps at the rights time and we ran with the idea” claims Michael. The grand opening will be on June 16h, 2008 next to the Ceetus West Theatre which Rane Clothing’s exclusively books band shows and events.
The history of Rane Clothing has been short but very busy. Since opening the online store in March 2005, the Rane Clothing website saw over 100,000 visitors in the 1st month and has continued to maintain a large amount of views and customers (25k a month on average). Rane Clothing over the past three years has expanded from four tee shirts design to clothing (30 tee shirt styles), jeans, accessories, surfboard-wax, and a limited edition release of surfboards in the summer of 2007. The line is sold in skate and surf shops all over the United States.
Giving back to others and working with many outlets, Aeron and Michael have setup many programs such as the sponsorship, internship and representative sectors of Rane Clothing. Rane Clothing sponsors over 100 bands and has had fashion and band shows all over the US. The internship program provides opportunity for college students with majors in fashion merchandising, journalism, and marketing to gain experience while attending college.
Look for the Rane Clothing booth at 2008 Warped Tour. July 2008 will be the release of RaneZine, which will be a monthly online magazine with articles and video interviews of bands and fashion news that will work simultaneously with the internship program. Rane Fashion is the next step, which will open in September 2008, which will brig small fashion lines together in an online shop and also in the retail store.
