Owner, Angela Apon, recently designed the bracelet upon learning that her close friend, Lisa, was diagnosed with breast cancer. With the news of Lisa’s cancer, friends and co-workers had also contacted Angela at Belle Pearl with the same thought of how we can bring awareness and show support to Lisa and all women who are diagnosed with Breast Cancer. That’s when “Lisa’s Hope” bracelet was born.
In the past 2 years this was the second woman close to Angela that has been diagnosed with Breast Cancer. “My sister-in-law Kathy was diagnosed a year ago and now my friend Lisa was just diagnosed this summer, 2008; both-so young and full of life”. Lisa is an inspiration to all that know her. Her smile lights up a room without a single word spoken.
