The Lighthouse Press, Inc. has agreed in principal with Captiva Outback, Inc. Ft. Myers, FL, .to publish a series of books based on approximately seventy hours of video tape filmed by Outback’s owner Norman “Spider Boy” Pardo from 2001 until recently. Each volume in the series will contain narration written by Pardo and include a 2-4 hour DVD displaying O.J. Simpson at his best, and at his worst in public appearances (including behind the scene footage) with Norman Pardo in Hartford, Atlanta, Trenton, New York, Philadelphia, Cincinnati, Savannah, Miami, Fort Myers, Raleigh, Myrtle Beach, Charlotte, and Tallahassee and other locales. Each book will also include exclusive interviews with the radio personalities, promoters, club owners, and the crew that risked their reputations, and possibly their lives to get this footage of one of the most infamous individuals of our time.
Captiva Outback’s CEO Norman Pardo said he receives a lot of proposals from various entities regarding the use of his unique collection of never seen before O.J. footage, but this concept of a book series presents a very unique and exciting opportunity.
“This project is unique in publishing,” says Lighthouse publisher Ron Richard. “To my knowledge, combining a DVD within a book as visual proof and corroboration of the text has never been done before. Certainly there is a ready market here as the general public has a continuing infatuation with O.J. Simpson, despite the enigma that he has created about himself in the years since his famous trial.”
